Make a Donation
To continue its life-changing work, Alameda County CASA relies on the generosity of individuals, foundations and corporations who support our mission. Each donation directly benefits abused, neglected and abandoned foster children as funding is used to continue recruiting, training and providing on-going professional supervision and support for new and current advocates.
Because of the overwhelming number of children in need of our services, last year, we were only able to serve 4% of the County’s court-dependent children. This year, in order to serve more children, we are seeking to significantly increase our active volunteer pool, and to increase the diversity of that volunteer pool. Contributions to this effort will help us leverage additional funding to further strengthen and expand our vitally important services. We thank you for your consideration and strongly urge your support.
All donations are tax-deductible, and you will receive a tax receipt in the mail. You can make a secure donation online. Simply click on the tab below:
There are several ways that you can help make a difference:
Voices for Change Heroes – This is a special group of caring donors that make an annual contribution to CASA, helping to make an impact in the lives of abused, neglected and abandoned children in Alameda County. $25, $100, $500 or $1,000...every gift is important in helping us to continue giving hope for a brighter future to our community's most vulnerable children.
Sponsor-A-Child – Your donation of $375 helps support the match of one child and one volunteer advocate for a year. Currently, more than 140 children are waiting for volunteers, but it requires funding to recruit, train and supervise new advocates. Your Sponsor-A-Child donation will go directly toward taking a child from the wait list and matching him or her with a caring advocate who is committed to that child's best interests.
CASA Event Sponsorship – Each year, CASA holds a variety of events, from Heart of the Matter, CASA Volunteer Appreciation BBQ, holiday celebrations for the CASA children/youth, etc. Providing event sponsorship for any event is a great way to support CASAs important work while receiving recognition for your investment in our community. Click Here for more information on our Special Events.
Donations for Special Occasions – Please consider making a contribution to CASA for birthdays, proms, graduations, anniversaries and other holidays. Foster children often have challenges obtaining funding to cover these expenses, which includes prom dresses, suits, class rings, yearbooks, graduation pictures, etc. We would truly appreciate your support in helping them obtain these items so they can participate in these momentous occasions.
Tax-wise Giving and Planned Gifts – Although every gift to CASA is tax-deductible, there are several additional giving options that can increase your investment benefit. Donations of stock, property or appreciated assets, including CASA in your will or estate plan, and charitable income trusts are just a few methods of giving that can significantly increase your tax benefits. Creative giving methods also include automatic payroll or credit card deductions.
You may be sure that the Alameda County CASA program will use these funds to recruit, train and support CASA volunteers who dedicate themselves to advocating for our community’s most vulnerable children.
A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in or the kind of clothes I wore, but the world will be much different because I was important in the life of a child. -Author Unknown
On behalf of the CASA staff and our extraordinary volunteers, thank you for recognizing the beauty and worth of this community’s most vulnerable children.
